  1. 2. For shopping, that time of year ... you can't beat midtown Manhattan.  Many of the stores, especially along Fifth Avenue put on glorious displays for the holidays.  You've also got the museums right there -- the Metropollitan, Guggenheim, MOMA, etc -- if that's your thing to add to a trip.

Boston's a lovely city, but doesn't compare for shopping.

The outlet malls are either in New Jersey or north of NYC.

Accomodations totally depend on your budget.  You're most likely better of to stay in NJ and take a bus or train right into Manhattan.  (Lakeland Bus Lines, PATH trains, for example.)

  3. Boston its less crouded

  4. My friend, NYC is the best. You will have a huge selection of malls and shopping centers. Everything from the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island to Woodbury Common Outlet Center, located in Central Valley, NY.

You also have malls in New York City as well, everything from the Manhattan Mall to the Queens Center Mall. Let's not forget the flagship store of Macy's, Sacks and Bloomingdale's among other.

That's the reason why NYC is the best place to go to during the holidays.

    Good luck
