  1. paris, without any question of a doubt. its the best city in the world...

  2. paris it is bueautiful and atracts bueautiful people!!!!!

  3. Barcelona, fot what you look for is far ahead the best city in Europe.  Madrid nice's too, but there is not sea there.

I actually doesn't like much Milano which is the economic capital of Italy but lacks the cultural attractiveness and warmer climate and people of Rome.

Marseille is nice for its location along the mediterranean, in a very beatiful region, with Alps not far for skiing in winter, the calanques, etc.   But it is much smaller than Paris (and than Milan too) and a bit "provincial".  Unfortunally the city itself is quite poor and has some problems (a bit like Napoli in Italy)and always very safe at night.  But it is a real melting pot of mediterranean populations, southern Europeans, arabs, Armenians, etc. which give a specific flavour to this city, which I personnally like.

Paris is where I live, and I love my city even if the climate is not that of Marseille, its population is 10 times bigger (the biggest European city) and you have everything there, culture, parties, nightfife, museaums, people from all the world, strong economic, fashon, chic districts, vibrant cosmopolitan ones (more like marseille near Belleville district).  Unfortunally the winters are ver sad because of the grey skies, but, from Paris, with the TGV, Marseille is just 3 hours ride from city center to city center - so it is ver easy from Paris to go in the south to take a sun breath.

  4. i would say marseille

beaches always attract people esp. young people.

  5. Having just been to Paris, the Marais, I would say the City of Light. It was a great place to interact with folks living day-to-day. By the end of my stay, the folks who ran the restaurant across the street knew me. There were restaurants within easy distance as well as some nice g*y bars. All the Parisians I met were generous and helpful - I resurrected some of my old college French. Didn't get lost or slapped!
