Which city would you recommend in Italy for New Years Eve? Why?

I'll be with my boyfriend so we aim for something beautiful or exciting. (Ive spent NYE in Florence before with my sister- it wasnt anything spectacular)

Is Venice good? Do they have any events there? or is Rome best?

I think u should go to Rome or Sicily, because I've heard they were a great place to go that time of year.(man i wish i could go to Italy, lucky)
