  1. Likely the lower class...the poor always suffer the most and hurt even more during bad times.  Their finances become further strained and life becomes rougher for them.  We need to take more measures to help them like causing EITC to go up and for a reform of the educational system [see what works] to ensure that their kids will go to school and get a good job (yeah its hard with a rough economy but it will be putting the future kids and current ones in an improved shape).

However they aren't the only ones hit by it.  Inflation, slow growth, and national debt have hurt the middle class hard.  The dollar has gone down in value and life has been rough overall.  The middle class is feeling a lot of pain from the economic problems.  It is becoming harder to afford some things and more sacrifices are needing to be made.  The middle class needs significant tax cuts (not permanent however, but some ones right now to help them with these financial problems), and better leadership from govt (govt can't be blamed for all of the slowness but they can be blamed for a significant amount).

  2. Low almost always suffers the worst from any economic disadvantage.  This trend has existed since publicly traded companies have existed.  In the Great Depression, people who lost everything in the stock markets still had their jobs, their homes, their vehicles, and in some cases when the banks didn't fail, their money.  However, the closures in the market during the Great Depression eliminated the lowest paying dry good producing jobs.

Now we're seeing a unique trend where their are lots of available jobs (meaning employers are having a hard time finding people) and higher unemployment.   That either means people are unwilling to work or don't have the right skill sets.  Either way, those folks will be the poorest.
