  1. welding is something i have always wanted to do

    but computer repair pays better

  2. Architecture

  3. I'm not sure about your school. But I'm a Sophmore This Year. I chose to take a Design and Drawing For Production which is basically architecture. Its awsome, you get to use AutoCad and manual drawings, im also big into computers, so i took a computer essentials class, only to find out i know everything they teach, so its an easy A, you should consider that. Computer Repair is cool, but its nothing you can't teach yourself with a little effort. Good Luck Man.

  4. Welding, welding , welding!!!!  Such a shortage of skilled trades right now, welders (especially pipe welders) in great demand.  Get in a Union environment & you can wright your own paycheque.

My husband has been a Pipe Welder for quite some time, his current rate of pay is $37/hr ($42/hr with his benefits) !!!  If you become exceptionally good at your craft the possibilites are endless...underwater welding etc.....good luck to you.

  5. wow it looks like welding is the best.  i don't know - but it seems like there would be less schooling for welding also, more on the job training.  maybe someone could give more info on that.  i'm going to check into for my son!

  6. underwater welders make about $28 an hour

Architects can make about $15-18 if they work for someone else. Double that if they work for themselves

Computer repair guys like Geek squad make about $15 an hour.

    Go for what you like.

I'd be an architect, but then again, that's what I'm into

  7. what does this have to do with Special Ed? please learn what special ed means, and how to use yahoo answers properly

    thank you

  8. Your choices should be determined by your likes and dislikes.

Personally, I would rule out computer repair because the technology changes so fast that you will need to be continually upgrading your skills. There are monkeys in the local computer shop who make $8/hour and they have minimal skill.

So this leaves welding and architect.

If you like to draw, be creative, and can think outside the box than architect would be the stream to follow.

If you like physical work and your grades are not the greatest you could go the welding route.

However, keep in mind, to be a welder you only need to apprentice and to be an architect you need post secondary school. If your grades are good than try for the architect and if they aren't than try for the welding.

Welding is more hazardous work environment than architect and there is a greater chance that you could get cancer from the elements that you are welding together (such as PVC tubing, lead pipes, asbestos in the air, etc).

Architect can lead you to more possibilities such as an engineer (mechanical, municipal, etc), architect, project manager whereas a welder you tend to just weld unless you learn another trade like automotive to enhance your skills.

    I hope this helps.
