Which classes should i take?

my major is Social Work.

probably working with children.

i've already taken sociology and physiology.

  1. Psychology is pretty easy. Take child and adolescent development. You might want to take abnormal psychology as well, since you'll be working with a lot of crazy people!  


  2. Make sure you get your general education courses completed early on in the course of 4 years.  So, if you are a freshman or sophomore, you should look at taking a Science, Math, English/Speech/Communications, and maybe even a Literature, History, or Humanities course.  Actually you should take about 3 general education courses and then 2 in your major or 1 in the major and 1 in the minor/elective studies.  For your elective studies, you could consider Child Psychology or Child and Family Studies or Child Development if you're interesting in doing work with children.

  3. education classes, so you can help with curriculm needs.
