  1. All my friends that use cloth use the one size mother-ease diapers also!  One friend used the same set of diapers for both kids newborn-potty trained, and they still look and work great!

  2. I tried bumgenius, fuzzibunz, and happy heineys along with the basic chinese prefolds and wraps.

For us the bumgenius leaked- I believe this is because my baby was super skinny so there were gaps at the legs.  The Happy Heineys and Fuzzibunz have worked out incredibly well.  The fuzzibunz have a great fit and he's been able to wear the same size from 5 months old all the way to now (he's 26 months).  The Happy Heineys are awesome because they use velcro which during certain extra crabby diaper changes the speed of the velcro is very welcome.  He did go up a size in these at about 18 months.

The chinese wraps were not great- very bulky!!  These only lasted a week or two at our house and we now use them as rags (for which they're excellent!!).

Check out www.diaperpin.com  they have lots of reviews!

  3. We use mainly BumGenius, which have never failed us on any count except price.

More recently though, I have been making my own pocket nappies (see picture) -- they are the same basic lay out as the BumGenius, and it's far easier making them than I thought it would be, and a lot cheaper -- and they work just as well as our BumGenius.

  4. I use Mother-Ease One size diapers. Baby has been wearing since newborn, now he is 2. It's like $12 each. I use the One-Size stay dry diapers. My hubby and I absolutely love it.  I have baby number 2 on the way and they will both be in cloth diapers. I also use cloth wipes, eeeeew, I know. Once you see the savings, you won't say eeeew any more.

Happy cloth diapering! As another poster mentioned, try sampling from different brands. Each person has their unique preference. My #2 choice for cloth diapers would be Fuzzi Bunz.

  5. Everyone has their faves, but what I recommend is getting a sampler pack from an online supplier and seeing what fits your little one the best.  We tried a variety and like the Fuzzibunz for fit, ease of use and trim profile.  At home, we used a combo of motherease or prefolds with covers.

From the sampler pack, you can sell whatever you don't keep on diaperswappers.com  I'd recommend checking that site out for reviews from other moms.  Also check out diaperpin.com or diaperhyena.com

    Yay for cloth!
