The French goalkeeper recently announced his parting with Ligue 1 outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800 and is now on the lookout for a new adventure. With several clubs reportedly interested in the Frenchman, the player has yet to decide on his future
Mikael Landreau was recently released by Lille OSC, with reports claiming that the decision was taken mutually by both parties. The 33-year-old is now a free agent, and weighing up offers from interested parties, seeking to secure the services of the veteran
goalkeeper.
The former Lille OSC player has several options to opt for in January. Here’s a list of the clubs that have been strongly linked with the goalkeeper:
Chelsea FC

Owned by Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, the London-based club is one of the biggest spenders in the world of football. The club is willing to match hefty price tags for its desired players, with wages of equal value.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the Frenchman, as they seek a suitable back-up goalkeeper for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837. Although the club already has the services of Portuguese stopper, Hilario at their disposal, the club is not entirely satisfied by him. And is
therefore, seeking out other options.
The Premier League outfit has experienced severe problems defensively, and believes that the arrival of the former Lille player would give Cech much needed competition. Although the Czech goalkeeper is considered to be one of the finest in his position,
a little competition would do no harm.
The London-based club was perhaps the first major club to contact Landreau, convincing him to join the English giants. However, the player has reportedly snubbed the club on several occasions, as he doesn’t favor the idea of playing as a back-up player.
And with Cech around, his chances of securing a first-team place for the Blues is far from reality.
Inter Milan
The Italian giants have recently been reported to be interested in Mikael Landreau. The club finds him to be an extremely talented player, one who still has a few more years left in him.
The player is set to compete with current http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Handanovic-c32356, for a starting spot and is deemed to be an excellent back-up goalkeeper. The Italian club deems that the experience Landreau has attained during his tenure at the French club can
certainly be put to good use, to add further depth in the squad for the Nerazzurri.
Arsenal FC

The Premier League giants are known for preferring French players in the transfer market, with much of the credit going to their long time manager, Arsene Wenger. The former AS Monaco coach has always been fond of French players. The Frenchman is known for
having an eye for young and promising talent, one that he transforms to world-class under his supervision.
Arsenal have struggled regarding goalkeepers since the departure of German stopper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 goalkeeper, and has switched several first-choice goalkeepers during this time,
including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wojciech-Szczesny-c36998.
Landreau seems to be the perfect option for the Gunners, as he has the necessary experience as well as the skills that are sought in a world-class goalkeeper. The North London club have struggled due to poor goalkeeping and bringing the Frenchman to the
Emirates Stadium seems to be the right option for them.
SC Bastia
The Ligue 1 outfit seems to struggle defensively, as they struggle to keep themselves clear of the relegation zone. However, the club might hesitate in matching with the wage demands of the veteran goalkeeper.
The Corsican club has the worst defensive record in the league this season, and is desperate to improve that. The club has conceded a total of 39 goals in their 18 Ligue 1 fixtures. It might be a likely option for Landreau, provided the goalkeeper aims to
stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
