  1. I don't think one is better than the other, but I like them both. I have graphite on my Drivers, Woods, and Hybrids. Graphite seems to be less stiff so you can have greater club speed. I have steel on my irons and that allows you to hit a nice crisp shot. Try taking a few swings with steel and graphite and see which one you like better. It's all preference.

  2. Better depends on what you like.....its really a matter of choice.  Those with steel shafts will swear by them.....those with graphite will do the same.

  3. They have done amazing things with both. I have graphite shafts on my woods and light weight steel shafts on my irons.

The steel are generally less expensive and usually heavier. Why are you asking?

  5. your age and s*x matters a lot in answering this. steel for young (dont exactly know the age limit of a young man in golfers world) man, mostly. hope that answer the question. thanks.

  6. Clubs and the materials used to assemble them are strictly a matter of preference. I am a scratch player, late 30's, and the only steel shafts in my set are sand wedges and putter. All graphite in irons and woods are X-stiff. I obtain higher trajectories and softer feel(less shock)
