As a guide, see the BRW magazine article "Stay On The Ball", 16/3/2006, which contains the following passages:

"If rugby league were listed on the stock exchange, it would have been taken over years ago... (Rugby) league would be snapped up because it is cheap...the Broncos, easily the most popular sporting team in the booming South-East Queensland market, is worth less than the least valuable team in the Australian Football League (AFL), the Western Bulldogs. Or, looked at another way, the Western Bulldogs are almost seven times more valuable than South Sydney, which has the best history, brand and most passionate supporters in the NRL".

  1. Definately AFL just look at the supporter and crowd figures. Your BRW exert counteracts any argument otherwise
