Question:

Which clubs to buy for beginner?

I'm buying clubs for my boyfriend. I'm down to deciding between two sets and don't know which is the best option. He's a beginner, been out a little with his dad lately and has been raving about it. I know, I know, it's best for someone to pick their own, but he won't (saving money!) so if he's not happy with them I'll pay to send them back.

Options are:

Golden Bear Accuforce

Dunlop Tour Series Foremost

Any help is greatly appreciated!

  1. well you want to schedule an opointment at ***** sportinggoods and ask them to do a costamized golf fit and there they will make your boyfriend go and they will make it fit him and its NOT a waste of money.. i did that and i win alot of compotition

  2. neither one of your suggestions i would have ta say to go for a used set of taylormade RAC''s or mizuno mp 60's. they  both have a pretty equal amount of distributed weight on the sole of the club. if you have done a little research, not sure if you read across for beginners that cavity back clubs are perfect for beginners because of the forgiveness. check those out. spend a little and get a high named brand. its def, worth it in the long run. good luck

  3. Buy him a gift card so he can pick out his own clubs. with the gift card he will have to buy something and he gets to choose what he wants

  4. i would go with the Dunlop series, they are just a better over all name and are most likly better quality clubs. you also need to look at what they have. If one has hybrid clubs, that set is probably better for a beginner.

  5. ill go with the dunlop....bought myself a set of clubs this past week.  Its a Wilson though.  But yeah, dunlop is my fave out of the two
