Which college engineering major is more useful to the hobbyist, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

I just graduated with BS in CE and yes EE is more for the hobbyist for building homemade circuits and things like that. Now if you want to build computers from scratch and program them then you need the rigorous computer science emphasis that CE contains. HDL allows you to design hardware circuits using computer code and then from there you can go into synthesis and layouts for printed circuit boards. I am a hobbyist myself not so much with programming but fixing and repairing electronics and rc cars/airplanes and model rockets etc..
