Which college would you say is better for journalism: NYU or Yale?

I know Columbia is the best journalism school, but mostly for the graduate programs. So would you say it would help to go to NYU or Yale as an undergraduate?

Also, for people who have been accepted to NYU this year or in the past, what background (of grades and activities and test scores) did you come from to be accepted?

NYU probably, Yale is a wonderful school but its not exactly in the thick of civilization.

There is no competition, people line up to hire Yale grads no matter what the job. Honestly, if you can get in, run, don't walk, to Yale.

An NYU admit takes about a 3.5 unweighted form and average high school and a 2000ish SAT. More if you're looking for financial aid. That's another plus for Yale, financial aid that's excellent vs. NYU's pathetic aid.

Either school would be fine.  It's not so much the school as it is the student's attitude and study habits that make all the difference.  You only get out what you put it.
