  1. Indiana University Urbana-Champagne, University of Chicago, and Columbia University in my eye are the top schools for the subject.  Ivy League and any good liberal arts school will give you your money's worth, too.  Meet the professors, investigate the size and contributions of the department to the school and research, and you should be set.

  2. Harvard and the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor have long been considered two of the top schools for anthropology.

But there are sub-categories of anthropology, so one school may be best for cultural anthro while another may be best for biological anthro or forensic anthro or archaeology.

  3. University of New Mexico, which has a Solid Evolutionary Psychology program.

University of Michigan(where my brother went to get his useless degree in philosophy )

University of Texas,Austin, where David Buss is an excellent scholar in the field of human evolutionary anthropology.

good luck on picking the right school for yourself!

  4. I went to Franklin and Marshall.

NYU is historically the premier Anthro school.
