Well it really depends.

You can retake the SAT's as many times as you would like too. I suggest that you retake it and strive for a higher school which will also give you a higher chance of getting into a good college.

Mostly all state schools except that score

1200 is not really good enough for an Ivy League or other top-tier schools, such as Stanford or Duke.

There are exceptions: you might be a standout athlete or artist.

But a 1200 should be enough for most state schools.  And depending on your state school, they're the best value.

I had a 1390 but still went to state because it was so much cheaper.  Some of my classmates and best friends went on to grad school at MIT, Yale, Cambridge University (England) and Harvard.  So state university didn't hold us back...I got out of it everything I put into it.
