I am having such a hard time choosing which colors to use for my wedding, which is in May. I like either pale blush pink with navy or dark raspberry pink with green. Please tell me which one you like and why. Any decorating ideas?

  1. i love the pink and navy!!! the groom/ groomsmen could wear navy tuxes w/ pink vest/tie. and the bridesmaids could wear pink dresses w/ navy sash.

  2. I really like the  raspberry and pink

  3. For spring, the raspberry with spring green. Some of those ideas are just lovely.

  4. I think that using different shades of pink, but having the raspberry stand out more, with the green would be really beautiful. I like that color combination.

  5. i liked the pictures on that second link...the pink and navy. I think that looks unique. the pink and green remind me of my 5 year old's bedroom. it's pretty....but the navy stands out.

that being said...i don't think you can make a wrong choice here. congratulations. I pray the Lord blesses your marriage.

  6. I like both color combinations! I chose light blue and brown for my wedding in June, and had to really search for flowers that were the right shade of blue! I went to Lowe's and found paint samples that were the colors I wanted and carry them with me so if I see something I like, I can check if it will work with my color scheme. Good luck, either one will be beautiful!

  7. How fun! Well, why not all?

Pale blush pink, navy, dark pink and green actually all go together and all would look great with cream. Stark white would be a little too much of a contrast so the cream helps to soften. Go to a craft store and find ribbons that are these colors and hold them together...you will see they work. Here's why:

Navy is a classic color and goes with all. Navy and green are also found in nature (blue water, green grass). Both pinks go well together, with navy AND the green.

You can incorporate all these colors by having your bm's wear navy dresses and carry flowers that are bright and light pink tied with a green ribbon and have greenery with the flowers. You can do the same with your flowers and perhaps wear a navy ribbon on your dress or something.

Its different but can for sure be pulled off. If that is too much, I prefer navy and green with crisp whites. There is some super cute stuff out there with this combo. Additionally, don't use fake flowers to try to find "blue" flowers. Iris is lovely and would look fantastic. Another idea is all white flowers tied with these ribbons (think hydrangea) OR using what I call funky "greens" in colors of lime and cyan...NOT leather leaf. Greenery is way less expensive and really original.

    Congrats!!!!

  8. I would go with blush pink and navy because then you can match flowers up to the blush pink.

  9. I like the navy and pink better, but don't go too pale with the pink.  The green and pink looks cool too, but green often makes people look a bit washed out, so make the bridesmaids dresses mostly pink if you go with that, (unless they are all stunningly tanned, then it won't matter i suppose).  They navy/pink is a bit more stylish while the green/pink is a bit more earthy and natural so it depend what sort of person you are really.

  10. I like the pale pink and chocolate brown, as opposed to the navy. It's not listed, but I think it's in some of the pictures.

  11. Raspberry pink and green sounds nice

  12. I did navy with pinks, but I love both of your options.  You could actually do all 3 colors (pink, navy & green) and just varry it.  For instance (and I'll give you a link) in my bouquet, I had light pink roses, dark pink roses and white stephanotis).  You could then have the girls carry another shade and have their dresses be blue.  Have the centerpieces and/or bouquets have some green in them too.  Voila!  Have fun and enjoy!  You'll see some centerpiece ideas in the link too (hopefully it works!).
