  1. yellow and a little brown.

  2. Yellow and brown sienna ~~

  3. You can do it by mixing brown, black and white.  but you won't get the sheen of gold

  4. the closest you can get without a metallic sheen is yellow ocher.... add highlights and mix ins of yellow and white. When painting a picture of gold it's all about the contrast of the metal... highlights, low lights... otherwise they've got some great metalic paints out there.. :)

  5. I think you could get the colour by mixing yellow with grey, or, in other words, with black and white.  If you wish to give it a stronger value, try adding a bit of red or orange.  Just keep experimenting in small steps.  Because gold tends to be foremost a dull yellow colour and muted tones have grey in them, this type of mixture should work.

  6. they make a gold paint.

i don't know what your median is though.

if you work with acrylic, then there is a gold paint that you can use.

if you dont want the shine to it, its best to mix your own. like yellow orcher or something. just play around til you get it.

  7. It is best not to mix any colors to get an object you are painting to appear gold. Where the light hits, it should be white, representing a reflected highlight, a light yellow would be used for the gold color and the shadow should be a yellow ocher with a hint of orange or warm red. If the gold object is on a surface of color, that color should be reflected in that gold object closest to the surface.
