  1. cd ..


  2. type cd..

    C:windows cd..

    C:

    or

    C:windows/x*x/ cd\

    it goes directly to C: instead of typing cd.. for every directory

  3. cd \

  4. just type cd\

    the above commands takes you to c: from any path you are in...

    else, to go back just one step, type, cd..

  5. if you are in command prompt then type

    cd\

    this command lead you to C

    cd..

    this is used to go backward one step

    you can directly give c: that is C:windows/ c:

    if you are in window prompt then you can go backwards using

    alt+left arrow or you can directly type the address like c:/ in the address bar
