Which companies will donate?

Does anyone know of any companies who donate money to kids? I'm working on some letters to send out to companies, so I can raise money to study abroad in either France, Holland, or Australia.

I'm going to try and raise most of the money and then work for the rest. But I'm just not sure which companies will actually donate a decent amont of money, I mean don't get me wrong, I would be happy if someone even donated $20.

So, I would really appreciate your help, if you could tell me some companies who might donate, and how I would go about contacting them.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but no companies will donate to this. Companies are overwhelmed with requests like yours. Even Yahoo Answers/Community Service is overwhelmed with this question again and again -- how can I get someone to sponsor me to work/study abroad?

So, forget the letters and start with your own work -- you will need to make the money yourself through work and donations from your family and friends.

The book "How to Live Your Dream of Volunteering Overseas" may help -- while it's focused on volunteering rather than studying, it does have several ideas for fundraisers.
