Which company makes better ski boats?

Mastercraft, Ski Nautique, Supra, Tige, Mslibu, or Centurion? My dad is looking to buy a good ski boat and he's looked at these companies.

  3. If all you're going to do is ski, then Mastercraft or SkiNautique are probably your best bets.

    If you're going to do anything else, my personal favorite small craft is Boston Whaler. Although, my heart flutters for a 1968 all mahogany Donzi... (sigh)

  4. I prefer yamaha SHO coz is good durability,  the craft is light weight & is good looking :)

  5. Not sure on the exact model you probably want for Mastercraft, but don't forget a regular new Mastercraft boat is about the cost equivilent purchasing a new SUV or new fully loaded full size 1/2 ton truck.

    Make sure you can afford the monthly payments, comprehensive boat insurance coverage (mandatory for having a boat loan), maintenance costs, accessories, and money set aside for boat repairs or hard times come.

  7. Not only consider the boat but the engine/power. You have named all the top brands, I know buyers who have enjoyed all the brands you have mentioned.

    As with all boat buying decisions: How are you going to use this boat? How much experience do you have behind the wheel of inboard boats? They are different. Do you need a competition ski boat or will something else suit our needs better? How about in the future? That helps decide model/power and much more.

    The x-45 and the x-80 are both pretty big boats, especially the x-80. That's a boat that many trucks may not be able to pull, and it will not be the most nimble boat on the water. Also, think about the gas that monster is going to burn in a day on the water.

    Most important question when evaluating boats side by side: "How are we going to use this boat?"
