I don't care about the latest in technology stuff, & i don't care when it was made, i just want a good bow that will last a lifetime. My price range is about 1000 to 1500 bucks for the bow and all the accessories.

  1. You want a traditional looking bow with the benefits of a compound?  Go with an Oneida.  They are just cool lookin. their tough and cheap in price.  I have two of them and bought them used for under $150 each.  They have a smooth draw and quiet as a mouse.

  2. get the one that fits and feels the best.  You will have the best luck with a good fitting and feeling bow.  Bowtechs are great as well as Bears, Matthews, and Hoyts

  3. There are no bows on the market that will last a lifetime, strings will wear out, bearings in the cams will wear out, limbs, after thousands of shots and perhaps a dry fire or two will collapse, and I have even had risers that developed cracks in them. I suggest the flagship bow of the top 3 bowmakers- Matthews DXT, Bow-Tech Guardian, or the Hoyt Vectrix. How long they last, will depend on how much they are shot. Nowever, they should last you for years and years.

  4. i personally have a pse and am very happy with it! i hunt and for less than 500 it came with all the accessories i needed! in your price range, i hear that the mathews brand are very good bows. go to your local archery shop and see what feels right to you. my local shop has a range and you can try some of the bows, plus the lady that runs it, is a gold medalist with much knowledge!

  5. You might wanna take a look at livenyx.com. It is a blog on archery and I think there is a store where you can look at its merchandise. Should have what you are looking for at a lower price.
