Which computer wire?

On a computer power supply. Can someone please tell me which color is the 3.3 or 5v rail?

  1. 5v is red and -5v is black right next to it found on all connectors. 3.3 I believe is orange on ATX standard. neither of these will do you any good for your amp. you need +12 volt AND the necessary amperage. the amp should say either on it or in the instructions that it needs x amps. there are PSUs that can do it but the amperage must be exact because car audio equipment does not have over load protection due to the consistency of the cars electrical system. once you find out what you need for amps then go to the link below and look through the specs on each PSU until you find one with the proper amperage on the +12v rail and that one will work. be careful with these the capacitors can store a charge for weeks and still kill you. all it take is 3 miliamps across the heart to kill you and you are dealing with many times than. only handle wires with one hand at a time with your forearm on a conductive grounded object. that way the electricity will not pas through your heart but out the object. it will hurt like h**l and may permanently damage your arm but you will be alive.
