Try not to attack other conferences because that makes you a weak individual. Anybody can bash other conferences but a true intelligent person will be able to do it. I just want to see what people believe and their reasons for it.

  1. The Ivy League.  No athletic scholarships (at least I think that's how they do it).

Anybody can win with Neaderthal thugs but to assemble a winning team out of the pencil necked geeks at Princeton? That's hard.

  2. AFC

    go jags!!!

  3. college   BIG 12

    pro       NFC East

  4. Ok, we all know the SEC has been good for the last few years.

However, this is a cyclical thing which follows the best coaching from conference to conference.  For now the SEC has the best coaching which attracts the best players.

Why don't you SEC guys just enjoy what you have for now and quit acting like you are God's gift to football or something?

  5. SEC...hands down

  6. SEC ALWAYS!!!

  7. Are you talking about college or the NFL. In the NFL it has to be the AFC. The last few years in the NFC the team that made it to the super bowl didnt make it to the playoffs the following season.

If you are talking about college then with no doubt it has to be the SEC. Four teams from that conference are in the top ten this year.

  8. AFC ..

NFC - IS ALWAYS THE UNDERDOG..

  9. No brainer. The SEC is the king.

  10. I have to assume you are talking about college, since your name is LSU and there are only two conferences in the NFL...

College conferences cycle just like everything else in life.

The SEC is the strongest lately, with the Big 12 not far behind.

But it all depends on your definition of strong.

Some will say the Pac 10 is the strongest because of their one powerhouse, USC.  I would not agree with this.

The SEC has at least 4 and probably 6 teams that have a legitimate shot at the title.  The Pac 10 has USC.

The Big 12 has at least 4 teams with a shot.  Not bad.

I am a Big 12 guy, but I say if you were somehow to have a tournament between all the conferences...the SEC would win the most games....  They are just too deep.  The Big 12 would probably be second.  And unfortunately, the PAC 10 with their one team, USC, might win the whole thing.  But that would not make the Pac 10 the strongest conference.

  11. College: SEC

    NFL: AFC

    No question...

  12. The SEC is absolutely the toughest top to bottom conference in college football. Other conferences have great teams, but none can match the SEC's through and through strength.

  13. the SEC:  Best recruiting, best coaches, best teams.

LSU and Georgia finish 1 & 2 last season.  The SEC won the most Bowl games last season with LSU being National Champs.

the SEC has 7 teams in the top 10 recruiting in 2007.

The coaching line-up is unmatched by other conferences.  Steve Spurrier, Les Miles, Urban Meyers, Nick Saban, and Phil Fulmer have all won Titles.  Special note to Tommy Tuberville for going undefeated in 2004 but was denied a title game.  And the Atlanta Hawks' coach left the NFL to compete in the SEC at Arkansas.
