I have a Toshiba LCD and it has a function where I click input and it goes to PC mode. I was wondering how I could use that and which cord I would need. The TV I have is this one:

I have a Sony Laptop that i'd like to connect it to. I think it's the CR one. If it's not possible to connect it to that, I have a desktop, but it's around 5-6years old.

I was wondering what I would need to buy to connect my computer to my TV. Thanks

  1. well if it has a pc mode then most likely it has a monitor port on it, so i would just use a reg cord that you would use to hook up  a desktop to a tower of a computer, thats how i can hook mine up to my tv

  2. Your laptop or desktop video card has to have TV-Out capability.  If it does the cable is pretty cheap.  You need an S-Video cable.  It has an S video connector on one side and on the other it has the standard RCA plugs  (red, white connectors ).

  3. depending what kind of output your laptop has this should be the laptop output so you need a cable with this http://www.optimization-world.com/img/pr...
