  1. no difference. same radiation, different wavelengths.

  2. radiation is not based on the frequency 1.8 gig hertz means

1,800,000 revolutions per a second. 2.4 ghz sounds good but the only thing that set them apart is how many people or devices are working on that frequency which is the reason for the channel switch button after they put out a lot of 2.4s they have to switch to a higher frequency (hertz) to avoid interference issues

  3. definetly the 1.8GHz

  4. They are going to have about the same transmit output power, but the power level is so low that it is not a health issue in my opinion if that is what you are worried about.  The energy (nu lambda) of the radio wave "particle" is a tiny bit less at 1.8 GHz than at 2.4 GHz, so theoretically 1.8 GHz is the better choice if it really matters to you.

Personally I would use a 5.6 GHz system since it is quieter and less subject to interference and not worry about the higher energy of the wave "particle".  Heck, as a radio engineer, I should have died long ago if it really mattered.

Good luck and 73 from the Fisherman

  5. if you are so paranoid about "radiation", go wired phone and stay out of direct sunlight!

ALL wireless devices radiate, that is the nature of the beast.

Which has a lower output power? the cheapest junk you can find will have the lowest output power, QUALITY devices will have the maximum power allowed by law.

  6. They  would both put out the same amount of radiation. Be it 1.8 or 2.4 Ghz., most all cordless phones run at around 100mw., or 1 tenth of a watt. Cell phones, on the other hand, adjust power according to distance from nearest cell tower, but can run up to 600mw. (6 tenths of a watt.) So, your cell phone may have more radiation than your cordless phone in most cases. The older analog 'bag phones' would run up to 3 watts!!
