  1. You can only have one or two passports -depending on your Citizenship and that of your Spouse.

    Your passport is a declaration of your Citizenship or what Country you 'belong' to-therefore it makes sense that a person cannot 'belong' to three Countries.


  2. Ignore the other answer, it is wrong.

    Yes it is possible, yes it is legal. Some countries allow multiple citizenship, some don't. The ones that do have no problem with you holding as many passports as you like.

    An example is UK, USA and Republic of Ireland: a person could be a citizen of these 3 countries and hold 3 passports with no problem.

  3. as the 2nd person said, ignore the first answer, yes it is possible to have 3+ nationalities, my experience:

    I am a Mexican Citizen, my Wife is a German Citizen and our kid was Born in the US, thus he is

    Mexican German American, he does hold all 3 passports

    And he obtained all nationalities by birth, which means that without trying he was already a citizen of all 3 nations
