  1. Wikipedia has a map showing the route of this world traveler.

By rail & steamer from Britain to Suez Canal Egypt ... I am not sure if there were any stops along that way, since I have not read the book in eons.

Then steamer to Bombay India ... same deal, that steamer may have had some ports of call in transit

    Traveled various ways in India

    Then steamer to Hong Kong

    Then steamer to Japan

    Then steamer to USA

    Then rail across USA

Then steamer was to Britain, but missed connection so instead got a ship that was headed for France, but got it to Ireland instead, then rail to Britain.

Fogg thinks he has got there a day late, but did not take into consideration you lose a day of math going around the world.

However, there were some unexpected detours due to multiple rescue efforts and the machinations of the Scotland Yard detective.

Phileas Fogg is a character in the fictional novel "Around the World in 80 days" written in 1872 by French writer Jules Verne, who became famous due to some of his Science Fiction works.  This novel was made into movies, with some sequels.  The movie plots did not correctly represent the journey,

The Wikipedia article includes the route that Fogg planned to take, by which means of travel, and how long he thought that would take.  A number of things go wrong along the journey.  Scotland Yard is on the trail of a bank robber, and Fogg matches the description.  Part of a rail route is unfinished, so they travel part way by Elephant.  Some of the natives are either unfriendly, or our travelers do not approve of local customs.

Following the novel, a number of people of the time tried publicity stunts to see if it was possible to ciecumvent the Earth in 80 days, like in Verne's novel.

  2. It is Phineas not  Phileas. Try reading the book. Don't trust wikipedia as the information can be changed by anyone who knows the procedure though this one may more reliable than others. I have found incorrect information relating to events that I was personally present for. Wikipedia is an interesting source but can be unreliable.
