  1. obviously italy is at the height of architecture, but even london have lots of great buildings. most places with a lot of history have good architecture. the vatican city is a country in rome, the smallest country in the world with amazing sights. never been there but have heard it is breathtaking!!

  2. It has to be Britain - everything from medieval streets, through edwardian, georgian and victorian right up to the modern sky scrappers of london.

if you want to see great and diverse architecture from all periods, go to london.

Austria, Prague, St Petersburg, Paris, Beijing are also top notch.

  3. I visited Rome and you can be walking along a regular street, turn a corner and "wow" - an absolutely amazing building is there, right smack in front of you.

Actually, pretty much the whole of Rome is amazing!

  4. Japan is a country plagued with very unique architecture both from the ancient and modern worlds of the country. Some of the ancient building are:

  14. Spain! You can't get any better then that! have you heard of "The Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona? the huge cathedral? that was built buy an architect named Guadi who also designed many of those "weird" loking buildings in Barcelona, also in the South of Spain in the region called Andalucia there are many Mosques and Buildings that were influenced by the Muslim Moors who came in Spain and invaded for about 800 years and they built Mosques and there is this one Mosque, well its kinda like a palace which was where this Muslim king used to live and its called the Alhambra, you can vist it, its in the south of Spain in a city called Granada, its BREATHTAKING, especially the gardens, they call it heaven on earth and it really is and you can even see arabic words carved into the walls! also theres this famous Mosque also in the south in a city called Cordoba and it's actually a mosque/cathedral, when the Muslim moors invavded Spain, they built it but then the Christians invaded again and took their country back and instead of demolishing the mosque they built a Cathedral right in the centre of it! its really out of place but its amazing, I went there last year you really have to go! so basically in the south of Spain in the Andalucia region, there are many buildings that have an "arabic" look to them as that part of Spain once was ruled by Muslims so I hope this helps! Im going to add some pics of the Mosque/cathedral and the Alhambra palace and some of Gaudis builidings
