An organized list would be awesome. Thanks. I don't understand it. Please define any terms and put it into "Layman's terms". Thanks.

  1. British Overseas Territories

Anguilla(Which is also a group of islands),

    British Virgin Islands,

    Cayman Islands,

    Montserrat,

    Turks and Caicos Islands.

France does things slightly differently.  Their islands are called an "overseas department of France".  They staunchly say that their islands are a region of France, similar to how Hawaii and Alaska are a part of the United States..... (even though HI + AK don't actually touch the lower 48.)

The 2 main French Caribbean Islands are

Martinique(Which is also a group of islands), &

Guadeloupe(Which is also a group of islands).

Guadeloupe also used to be in charge of:

Isle of Saint Barthélemy (aka St. Barts), &

    Saint Martin(French side).

For the Netherlands.  Their Kingdom in the Caribbean contains the "ABC Islands":

    Aruba,

Bonaire (Which is also a group of islands), &

Curaçao(Which is also a group of islands)

    Then in the northern Caribbean:

Saba, Saint Eustatius, & Sint Maarten.(Dutch side)

  2. The Dutch:

Curacao, Bonaire, St.Eustatis(spelling wrong), St. Maarten, Saba. Aruba recently changed but it is still assisted by the Dutch.

    The French:

St. Martin (half island by the Dutch), Guadeloupe, Martiniqe, St. Barth.

    The Brithish:

    Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Tortola, Monteserrat.

I might have not mentioned all but surely others will add on!!!
