There will be no world war hereafter.  if it happens it will be between two strong nations.  The other wars between two countries are not considered as world war.  There are huge problems in their own countries and therefore, there will not be a world war.

For argument sake,  if there is a world war, it will be between Russia and U.S.A.  The Russian have the support of china, but U.S.A. will not get support from iraq, Afghanistan and vietnam.  The only supporter may be israel.

WW III was basically the Soviet Union versus the U.S. The allies for both sides were many and varied with Europe bordering the Soviet satellite states and South America bordering allies of the U.S. The U.S. won WW III in 1991 when the Soviet Union's Communist/Socialist society collapsed under the weight of it's failed economic policies.
