  1. Jamaican Blue is pretty good... I also like Ethiopian high altitude beans for their rich flavor.

The best I ever had though is Zabars original blend in NYC. It's a mixture of Jamaican, Columbian and Ethiopian. Out of this world...

  2. columbia! rich, bold taste!

  3. Jamaican Blue Mountain, Kona (Hawaii), Indonesia.  It depends on your taste preferences.  A lot of people love Kenyan coffee but I find it sour.

  4. one word:

    STARBUCKS

  5. Jamaican blue mountain, undoubtedly the best coffee I have ever had.

  6. I roast my own coffee and have sampled coffee beans from all over the world (not a coffee snob, by the way, it's just cheaper to do it yourself).  My preferences are for beans from Africa and the islands of the Indonesia reason.  All coffee is fantastic when it is freshly roasted.  Try some coffee from Papau New Guinea or Tanzania.  Coffee from the regions have bolder flavor.  For brighter coffee, try some from Costa Rica.

BUT...It is really comes down to personal preference.  Country of origin, roast level, brew method, brew temperature, etc. all affect the final cup of coffee.

Secondly, what makes coffee so special and unique is the different soil types, growing methods, and overall plant quality.  Plants tend to take on the "taste" of the soil it's grown in.  And, of course, the better the coffee trees are cared for by the farmer, the higher quality the bean.  Some people believe elevation is also a factor, which is why Kona and Jamaica Blue Mountain are so expensive.  The taste of Kona and JBM is actually just average compared to other regions, in my opinion.  Not worth the money.

    Hope that helped.

  7. As others have said Jamaican blue mountain is good.   Hawaiian Kona is also very good as is Columbian.

More important is the roaster.  Find a roaster that roasts arabica beans (robusto beans are garbage) to your taste and has a fast turnover.   You want fresh coffee and well roasted coffee and aribaca beans.   Where it is grown is secondary
