my god where to start well.....las vegas for sure new york if u u've got big bucks! dubai! australia! france, n some in italy as well! mainly all the tourist spots do! so if its famous it'll have big hotels!

The biggest hotel by room count is:

First World Hotel   Malaysia 6,118, or the combined Hotel complex Venetian/Palazzo complex in Las Vegas which has over 7000 rooms.

The "Burj Al Arab" certainly promotes itself as the most luxurious hotel in the world. It's on an island off of Dubai, and it only has 202 rooms. Rooms are between 1,819 and 8,396 sq ft , and start at US$1000. It is the tallest building in the world used exclusively as a hotel (until the "Rose Tower" which is also in Dubai opens any week now).

I think that Hôtel Ritz Paris (161 rooms)  start at €730 a night is also a candidate for the best hotel in the world. Unlike Burj al Arab it is in a great city and has an incredible history.

Probably the most expensive hotel in the world to build is "The Wynn" in Las Vegas. Once again, that is a little misleading since there are millions of people who come into the building to have drinks, eat dinner, and gamble that are not guests of the hotel.

The Langham in London, was probably the first great hotel in Europe, built over a century and a half ago. You can get a room there for 235 GBP, so it is by no means one of the most expensive.
