You may be only interested in who has the most gold (China), but it's who has the most overall that counts, and that would be the USA.

I'm cheering for China, but there's no need to act arrogant over this.  The individual athletes and individual athletic teams are fighting for gold, but no country wins the Olympic Games.  Medal tables are simply used for fans' convenience.  No country wins the Olympic Games, so no country is the best country.  The winner is the world, because the Olympics have been fabulous so far.  Save for NBC's coverage, which is biased and sucks.
