Which country is better.. Spain or Italy?

For Traveling? I always thought Spain is a cleaner version of Italy (and Germany a cleaner France). Both are beautiful. If you're into Roman history Italy can't be beat.  There are a lot of great things to see in Spain but Italy has it all closer together.

My sister in law and her family lived in Italy for 3 years and said that the people there are wonderful, warm and friendly.  I have also heard that Spain is much the same.

I've been to both, and I enjoyed Italy a lot more. Maybe just the culture and history appealed to me more. I loved Rome, Capri, and Pompeii the best.

Ok. Italy has the pizza parlors and Spain has the home made tamales. Italy has nice clothes and is a fashion capital of the world but Spain has some nice clothes too. You just have to decide. Do you want to learn about Zeus or Conquistadors? Do you want to eat pasta or salsa?
