  1. Canada - any healthcare system is better than what I have now, which is NONE!  I had to cancel my health insurance because of rising gas and food costs - it was either that or lose my house.

  2. Neither one is really "better."  I'm an American that lives very close to the border.  I grew up loving ice hockey, I like watching the CFL (or I used to until they got some bogus TV deal up there that means I now can't even watch it online, due to geo-fencing laws) and I regularly watch CBC news to contrast their news with the American outlets.

I feel blessed for having both nations a part of me in its own way.

  3. Coming from an Aussie i would say canada

  4. I don't play the "good country / bad country" game, I don't have a favorite country. I think both countries have their pros and cons. Obviously there are overly patriotic Canadians who would be absolutely disgusted that you dared to ask this question and there's overly patriotic Americans who would react in the same way, but the endless debates about what country is the best is ridiculous, because every country has it's pros and cons. I have nothing against patriotism, but here in North America, Canadians and Americans sometimes over do it and it turns into hate of other countries.

So, my answer is, I don't think the US is the better than Canada and I don't think Canada is better than the US. I think both countries have their pros and cons.

  5. They both have a lot to offer the world and their citizens. One thing I don't care for from Canada are the Quebec vacationers in the States. Nearly as arrogant and stuck up as the worst tourist from Paris. And the winters really stink. Other than those two feel just has happy in both countries.

  6. From my perspective, I love my country and think America is way better, both because we don't have to wait for a year for an MRI, we're bigger, and have more stuff.

From the world's perspective, probably Canada.  They seem to be really happy.  You don't hear too many people going "Those Canadian a$$holes."  They just sort of hang out and play hockey and do their own thing, which is cool.

  7. well i'll tell you what, I love the USA and wouldnt live anywhere else. But when i lived in Canada for 2 years i remember having this feeling of calm and everyone being freakishly nice.

  8. Both have good and bad points -  Canada - to be of some support during a war . The US - to stab me in the back in  war . But the US overall has the stronger Military - which is a huge plus for them

  9. Canada.  Canada doesn't go around invading countries that didn't do anything to them. Canada respects humanity and the inherent right to have decent health care. Canada is more tolerant. Canada has poutine.

  10. the US. canadians die waiting for their turn to see a doctor due to the socialist procedures.

come to the US and if you've got the money you will be saved. if you are an illegal alien, you and your whole family will be saved for free. if you are just an ordinary working class citizen, you have to call your HMO to see if you are covered.

  11. The US has way better winter weather.

  12. Americans are pretty awesome; but seriously, we have got some real crappy beer.

I might have to go with Canada solely on the beer.

  13. I choose the US mainly because I am an American and I love my country. I also prefer our health care system to theirs.
