  1. Canada is a better country to live and work due to a high standard of living.

  2. Canada if you're from a 3rd world country.  If you're an American just stay put.  If you're from a Islamic run country, then Canada.

    If you're a liberal Catholic/Christian, then Australia.

I am a USA citizen, living in Toronto, Ontario Canada.  Miserable man I married, stuck here for the time being. Let it be said that there is no free healthcare as the gossip people say that Canada has free healthcare.  You have to be sickly and dying to get it. The cost of eyeglasses and dental work is from the individual not included in the  free healthcare card.

You never mentioned what country you want to leave, it would be interesting which one you want to leave.

  3. I cannot speak for Australia although I do have a friend who studied there for 2 years and she had the time of her life.

So, being that I was born and raised in Canada, (Toronto, ON to be exact) I thought I'd be so kind enough to give you my 2 pennies.

    Lets start with the CONS:

    1. I cannot speak for all of Canada, but Ontario's tax bracket is EXTREMELY, AND I REPEAT, EXTREMELY HIGH!! 13% is what we pay on every dollar for products and services throughout the province. 15% is what it used to be however, 13% don't make it any better. Oh and your paycheck is axed and I mean brutally by; CIT, EI and CPP which are all abbreviations for the taxes robbed from your hard earnings. [sidenote: Deelani doesn't exaggerate]

    2. The cost of education out here is going to cost you your life!!! By the time you complete your education, you would have already borrowed approx: $40,000 from the Ontario Govn't while pursing an undergraduate degree. With that said, obtaining any other loan with that kind of an outstanding balance will leave you stuck with denied loans or lines of credit until you're able to pay it off.

    3. Health care is not FREE !!!  [It comes out of your earnings among all the other taxes taken from citizens] but it is also not true that you have to be in dire straits to receive any type of health care. You're only requirment would be to have lived in Ontario for more than 3 months and either be a permanent resident or citizen. Vision and dental are not covered under OHIP which is Ontario's offered health plan.

    4. 50 cent said it best. "Get rich or die trying!!" It's almost d*mn near impossible to attain any real wealth without being taxed out of your behind. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and would like to make millions in your future, try the US on for size.

    5. Cost of living is so ridiculous it's not even worth discussing . I'll leave you with this though....Get a good paying job and if you plan to rent, a trustworthy landlord would be best. If you plan on buying a home, prices for townhomes across the Greater Toronto Area cost on avg: $300,000 if you're lucky!!

Let's go on the the PROS:

    1. Clean country

    2. Friendly people

    3. Excellent educational system minus loans needed to borrow from the gov't

    4. Very multi-ethnic if that is one of your interests.

    5. Opportunity is endless career wise. [Entrepreneur wise, good luck!!]

    6. 4 seasons is nice

    7. Tons of things to do. You can't get bored living in Toronto unless you really have no life.
