I am an International Business Major in New York. I want to study abroad but I dont know where to go! I've been to England before, but only for a week. I liked it, but I cant decide between England and Australia. Climate aside, which is better for my major?

  1. For international business, the best thing you can ever do for your future career is to learn a language then study abroad in countries where that language is spoken.  Knowing another language is hugely valuable & there's no better way to practice than to live in that country for a while so you are forced out of your comfort zone.  My uncle is a vp for a custom tailored men's clothing line.  He said the most valuable language to know in business is French.  I couldn't believe it.  But then I thought about the countries that border France & the countries they colonized.  In Europe, even if you come across a business person who doesn't know English (rare), they almost always know French!  Weird huh?

Anyway, if you're just bound & determined to go only the English speaking route then I would choose Australia.  There will never be another time in your life where you'll have the money nor the time to spend in such a large, beautiful country.  Once you start on your fabulous business career, you may THINK you'll have time to travel but you won't....and any business trips that take you there, well you won't get time to even enjoy the country.  So, NOW is definitely the time to enjoy a country like Australia.
