am trying to settle an arguement is the UK or New Zeland closer to the caribbian?

If New Zealand were on the same side of the earth as the UK and the Caribbean, THEN and only then would New Zealand be slightly closer to the Caribbean than the UK

As it is, New Zealand is in an antipodal (opposite side of the earth) position to the UK.

Therefore, UK is closer to the Caribbean than New Zealand is.
