how would a person know without being old and having lived in various places?   you can't go on what you read--you have to live it!!

Depends on the person......your financial situation, interests, etc. for their quality of life and what's important to them in their last days.  What each person needs or wants is really subjective.

For instance, I am a water person (have always lived near or on body of water all 25 moves I've made!).  A country w/o any major water nearby would be the worst for me....but not necessarily someone else.
