  5. Australia - as they do each games.

  6. Believe it or not it's Armenia- they have 5 Bronze which is one medal for every 120 000 of their population. And in spite of the thumbs down it's actually true- thumbs down can't change facts I'm afraid. How about you add as many thumbs down as possible because you don't like the answer then we'll go and look at the medals table and see if anythings changed- and guess what, it won't have.

  7. <~~from america but i think per capitol would be jamacai or australia.forgive my spelling.

  8. Per capita is not a good measurement of "olympic or athletic prowess" because it benefits small countries in the sense that you can only have one or a few people qualify.

Australia is practically always #1 in summer olympics per capita.

  9. The alternative approach to measure the success of respective nations in the Olympic games is to calculate how many medals per million inhabitants were won by each respective nation.

    in 2004 the rankings were

    1) Bahamas

    2) Cuba

    3) Australia

    39) USA

    69) China

  10. According to the list - Jamaica

However it is in need of a recent update, but that is to add another gold to Jamaica so it wont change much.

  11. I'm not sure where this mythology that we aussies win on a per capita basis comes from.. all the olympics I've seen where someone measures this way ends up with some small nation taking these honours..
