Which country most matches these statistics?

I'm trying to find a country that has roughly the same area and road length as the Hawaiian island of Oahu. For the record, the statistics are:

area: 596.7 sq mi/1,545.4 km²

road length: 1,000 miles/1,600 km

the CIA world factbook might be a good starting point.

Santa Lucia (Carribean Isles) -- Area 539 sq kms

Isles of Man (UK) -- Area 572 sq kms

Bahrain -- Area 720 sq kms

Singapore -- Area 707 sq kms

And So on.....

I think the closest you are going to get is Luxembourg. It's about twice the area with a 2-3 times the length in roads.

The closest island you will find to Oahu is probably the Okinawa Honto (  463.7 square miles )  with a similar population to Oahu. I don't know the roadway length. [Note there is a prefecture of Okinawa of which this is the main island].

Of course, the island is not it's own country since it was conquered by Japan almost a century ago.

Some countries that have an area close to that of Oahu are Saint Lucia, Bahrain, and the Isle of Man(not sure if it counts).

But none of them have a roadway length that's close to that of Oahu.
