  1. Netherlands

The EU as a whole does but the USA just shouts about everything it does because they are noisy and arrogant

  2. How many Mexicans do you have there in the Netherlands? Generally a societies' legal restrictions tend to follow the quantity of outlaws, gangs, etc that roam their streets and fill the local emergency rooms with needless cases of mayhem and gunshot wounds.

  3. The question itself depends on the meaning of the word "freedom."  Not a single country in this world is truly free, and the degrees of freedom that people enjoy in each country is tough to measure.  To say that any country enjoys more freedom than another is to bring ones own opinions into the question rather than the facts of what is actually going on.  People can feel freer in situations that we as Americans might consider constricting, and same with people from the Netherlands.  The answer to this question is that both have large amounts of freedom they provide their citizens, but only the citizens can provide any worthwhile view of their own feelings of freedom, and comparisons would be almost impossible.

  4. As far as freedom of speech is concerned, The Netherlands. We can criticize our government and our queen without being persecuted (provided we do not insult the royal family, which is punishable by law). Nothing unpatriotic about it.

As far as privacy is concerned, the US - though only slightly. There is no other government in the world that has so many legal possibilities and leeway for wiretapping, eavesdropping, gathering and storing personal information as the Dutch government does. And they gladly hand over all personal data concerning their citizens to the US government, who can do with it whatever they want and do not have accountability as to what happens to the information - they can sell it to marketing companies if they like.

Other than that, I don't think there's that much difference anymore.

  5. Defiantly the Netherlands! People in the US don’t have as much freedom as they think. The “land of the free” is not that free anymore. EU countries are far more liberal towards their populations!
