Which country will attack Iran by mid-September? That there will be an attack is a given.?

At least with the present group of idiot world leaders.

The obvious choices are the: USA, UK, & Isreal.

Can we start calling the bush war the instigation of

WORLD WAR 3?

Just an addition to all the answerers:  It is not Bush who will push for an attack, it's that psychopath, Cheney. He is a total menace and I hope the US impeaches the guy for war crimes.

The US is currently supporting covert operations in Iran to create a rebellion by two minority groups against the current government.  That may be the trigger for the US to be invited in by the rebels for assistance.

Another scenario: Israel would attack initially with the excuse that they are eliminating Iran's nuclear capability. The US would support them at a prearranged later date.

Deep down inside my being, however, I don't believe it will come about.  Everyone has too much to lose and the American public would not support it.

Possibily any of the allies, but I wonder why in September if they're going to attack, why wouldn't they just attack now?

The UK will definitely not attack Iran.

I doubt the US will, leaving Israel as the most likely candidate.

However I don't think there will be an attack on Iran this year.

I'm sorry to say I think you are right.  I think Israel will attack Iran, and then the U S will be forced to cover their back.  What is worse, I think China, Russia and Syria will support Iran, which certainly could mean WW 3.  I hope both of us are wrong, but I think the odds of Bush creating the Mess of all Messes, which he would leave to the next administration, is a coup de gras that he won't be able to resist!  It could be his big finale!
