i hope that USA won because im from USA and i was also born in USA the 12 of november of the year 1989

  1. In my opinion "every" country is a winner that produced a competitor.  Regardless if they won a medal or not. To be able to compete is always the greatest honor.  I'm sure they are all proud to represent their respective countries.

  3. No country 'wins' the Olympics. I'm surprised how many people don't know this. It's in the Olympic charter:

    "58 Roll of Honour

    The IOC and the OCOG shall not draw up any global ranking per country. A roll of honour

    bearing the names of medal winners and those awarded diplomas in each event shall be

    established by the OCOG and the names of the medal winners shall be featured prominently

    and be on permanent display in the main stadium.

    No country has EVER been named "winner of the Olympics" unless we are talking about a nation winning the right to host. As in: "England won the 2012 Olympics".
