Which country would be best for bringing up children--UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia.??

Canada of course.

They have an amazing health care system..if you don't know about it..it's basically free health care.

and they have a good education system too.

hong kong you will be worked to death and there is so much pressure.

there have been cases where children actually commit suicide and cases where teachers commit suicide as well when their students aren't doing well.

well those are the two i'm most familiar with.

i live in canada and i'm chinese. ahha

and i guess indonesia wouldn't be too good just cuz of it's economy? it's a pretty poor country.

basically any asian country i think would have loads of pressure.

There is no such thing as the best place to bring up children.. The bringing up actually depends on the parents. Everywhere is the same, just the culture difference.

Definately not the UK and having been to Hong Kong and Singapore I don't think they are the right places either.

I would say Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia.  Met ppl from the regions while visiting and love the combination of culture and language let alone they do speak excellent english.  You feel you're in the western world although very eastern lifestyle.

Best to finding the ideal spot for raising children!!

Well...put it this way. If you want them to become super hardworking and give 100% in everything (especially in studies) - Hong Kong or Singapore. Singapore is also multi-racial and multi-religious, so if you're looking for cultural diversity, it would be good. And it's very safe, with one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

If you would rather they have a more relaxed childhood and not be so stressed out - UK or Canada. Plus, Canada has practically free healthcare for all citizens.

I personally would not choose the others, because of their economy and, very possibly, the quality of life.
