For example: how are the two nations different in terms of geology (mountains, forests, coasts, etc), plant life, wildlife, etc?

  1. go to taiwan.

south korea's not nature friendly. seoul (capital city) is like the 5th most congested city in the world. its all buildings and people. they even have a man-made river running through the city hahaha. in order to see nature in korea, you have to go to the country side where there are no hotels and you would have to stay with friends or family.

korea has mountains you can climb but on the way up, you will see buses, 10000 other people, venders, souvenir places... places to EAT. lol.

korea's coast= nasty. look at this picture. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/45/182475...

    slightly extreme.. but only slightly.

wildlife= found at the zoo.. cows, chickens in the countryside

plantlife= whatever flowers you put in a vase in your room

you could go to jejudo island off of korea (korean soil) and thats much more nature friendly. its all about eating fresh seafood and hiking and oceans and little rock men. but its rainy during the summer.

  2. I guess it would  be Taiwan. South Korea is very crowded, although it might be more beautiful and modern, but since you are a nature lover, I would suggest Taiwan!

And also in terms of geology, they are not much different, especially their coasts.
