opetke - Most doctors and nurses move to the USA from Canada is because you get paid more, not because you have better health care or a better medical system.

Honestly I think the USA's health care system is one of the worst. Millions of people in that country don't even have health insurance. The amount of people in the US without health insurance is over Canada's whole population!

And not to mention even if you found a good doctor you would have to pay thousands of dollars for something as little as a broken arm and in other countries you could have that fixed well and for free.

Germany has fabulous doctors and hospitals. Also free health care. But in reality a lot of countries have better hospitals and doctors than the the USA.

France is one of the best countries when it comes to treatment. On worlds rankings France has the best health care system when USA is all the way at number 37.

Because our health system is free market (sort of) our hospitals and doctors get paid very good money and can invest in the latest medical technology and expertise.

That is why we have many people from canada and mexico coming across our borders to use our medical system.

Also, the availability of our system is first in the world. Whether it's donor lists, operation availability, or access to emergency facilities, USA outdistances every single other country out there.

The only exceptions might be very small, controlled countries (think Switzerland). But person for person, USA has the best.
