    Braunschweig is a city not Bundesland. A Bundesland is the state (e.g. like Nebraska). The name of the Bundesland is Niedersachsen.


  2. Okay Kayman, I rephrased my answer to make it unambiguous:

    The Bundesland, which the city of Braunschweig is in, is called Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony in English).
