  1. A dip ed in Primary allows you to teach in a primary school as a teacher.

The certificate, however, is aimed more towards being a teacher's aid, child care assistant, or a nanny.

I assume the salary for teaching would be better than what you would get from the certificate, and if you have been following the news at all, there has recently been a pay rise for victorian starting teachers, to around $50,000 per year.

It you want a job similar to the teaching job you had in India, I would recommend the dip. ed, as it fully qualifies you to run a classroom, and allows you to register with the Victorian teaching board. However, you would have to check if you are able to take a dip. ed straight away, or if you need to undertake additional training (since I assume your bachelor of commerce was taken in India, and occasionally the standards are different at different institutions)
