you can go with intel but why the q9550 you can save some money and go with the q6600 it's a 2.4 but can be overclocked to 3.2 and as high as 3.9 it's a real good cpu.

Go with the Q6600 and overclock it. WARNING!!!! Be sure you have sufficient cooling prior to overclocking. WARNING!!!

The Q6600 will perform just as well as the 9550 when overclocked and will cost you about half.

If you really have the money to blow then go with the Intel chip.

ok the 3 people who awnsered first dont know much the intel q9550 is a way better deal and its better buy looknig at it but dont listin to the nsacar fan u cannot over clock a q6600 that high at all it can go maybe 2.58 max because its fsb is only 1066 compared to 1333 on the q9550 so it will overclock nicely definitly go with intel
